Scientific research shows relationships with adult caregivers build a foundation of neural connections in the brain by age 3, and this foundation has lifelong implications for health, education, and other social outcomes. For this reason, Sunbeam prioritizes building a child’s social-emotional and cognitive learning through strong connections with their parents and with teachers in their early care and education classrooms. Mental health is also an important part of overall health and wellness for children and families.
