Shine a Light- SOLD OUT
Let your light shine! Join Sunbeam Family Services in lighting the way for Central Oklahomans at the 10th annual Shine a Light event, chaired by Jessica Gilmore. Enjoy dinner, drinks, and inspiring stories of hope on Thursday, March 28, 2024, at the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum. The reception begins at 6 p.m. with dinner to follow at 7 p.m.
At Shine, we will also celebrate 2024 Aspire Award Recipient Bob Harbison for his dedication to helping build brighter futures with all children and families in Central Oklahoma.
Working together, we can “Shine a Light” on the needs of our community and help even more children and families find their light. Your generosity prepares babies and toddlers for school and life success through early care and education; provides safe, loving homes for children in foster care; connects grandfamilies with much-needed resources; and supports Oklahoman’s mental health and well-being.
2nd Friday Art Walk
Save the date for 2nd Friday Art Walk in Norman! On April 12th starting at 6 p.m., stop by Main Street Pottery by Katy Nickel to learn more about becoming a Sunbeam Foster Parent. Women of Color Expo
Join Sunbeam’s Mili Flores and Shayla Winrow at the Women of Color Expo on April 13th. Mili and Shayla will be presenting at 10 a.m. in Room J on “Building Brighter Futures for our Community.” They will be speaking on the importance of taking care of our mental health, how mental health stigma in Biopic communities impacts how people seek out mental health, and the different ways Sunbeam helps to support the community.
