Educare
Oklahoma City
Welcome to Educare OkC — where early learning meets excellence.
Nestled in Southeast Oklahoma City, Educare OKC has been redefining what’s possible for young children and their families since 2008. This isn’t just childcare — it’s an individualized experience designed to give your child the strongest start in life.
Through high-quality Early Head Start and Head Start programs, paired with comprehensive family support, we create an environment where every child and parent can thrive.
Part of a National Network of Innovation
Educare OKC belongs to the Educare Network, an elite group of just 25 schools nationwide recognized as one of the most advanced early childhood education models in America.
Our approach is grounded in cutting-edge research from early childhood development, mental health, and social work — ensuring your child benefits from strategies proven to unlock potential and set the stage for lifelong success.
Educare OKC utilizes internal and external data sources to focus on the following goals:
High Quality Learning Experiences
Providing high quality early learning experiences for children and learning experiences for families and staff
Strong Families
Supporting families in developing and maintaining stability and emotional security
Good Health and Well-Being
Supporting children, families, and staff in attaining their highest potential for good health and well-being
Sunbeam uses the Educare OKC model in all its centers and shares it with partners across Oklahoma City.
Sunbeam, along with many community partners like the Inasmuch Foundation, opened the first Educare in Oklahoma, which was the 7th in the nation.
Sunbeam: Leading the Way in Early Learning Excellence
Every Sunbeam early education program is committed to creating safe, engaging spaces where young children can learn and grow through play.
But we don’t stop there. We intentionally share our innovative model with partners across Oklahoma City—spreading high-quality early education and opening doors for families throughout our community.
A Legacy of Firsts
Together with incredible community partners like the Inasmuch Foundation, Sunbeam opened the first and only Educare school in Oklahoma City—one of only seven in the entire nation at the time.
Today, that pioneering spirit continues as we bring cutting-edge early learning strategies to more families, shaping brighter futures for our city’s youngest learners.
Inasmuch Foundation was instrumental in bringing Educare to Oklahoma City. Beyond leading the capital campaign, the foundation championed the concept of public-private partnerships for early childhood education.
Its leadership, including Robert J. Ross, emphasized the long-term impact of investing in early learning as a strategy to break generational poverty and improve educational outcomes statewide. Inasmuch continues to support Sunbeam Family Services, which operates Educare OKC, and advocates for systemic improvements in early education.
“We have to invest in our children. Sunbeam does an amazing job of knowing when to step in, where to step in, and empowering parents to feel like they can do it.”
