Grandparents Raising Grandchildren (GRG)

*Please remember, our shopping is completed through Walmart.  Gift items must be available at Walmart and total cost cannot exceed $50 per child.  Name brand items cannot be purchased. Items above $50 cannot be purchased. Please do not include gift card requests as we are no longer able to accommodate gift card purchases.*

The application deadline is September 25, 2024. The survey application will take approximately 20 to 30 minutes to complete. Please note that this opportunity is made possible through local partnerships and grants. Demographic questions asked in the application are required for continued funding of the program.

In order for your application to be considered, please be sure to submit complete applications in as much detail as possible before the deadline of September 25, 2024.

All applications submitted are reviewed by the GRG team. You will receive a call from a Sunbeam GRG team member. They will review your application with you over the phone. Email notifications that your application has been approved or is on a waitlist will go out in October. Holiday event information will be sent a few weeks prior to the actual event. Families are required to pick up gifts on the day of the event. In the event families do not have the ability to pick up their gifts on event day, Sunbeam requests prior arrangements are made with GRG staff for grandparents to come and pick up their gifts the week following the event.

***Families who have participated or are currently attending other services or programs at Sunbeam Family Services will be prioritized, including: Support Groups, Care Navigation, Mental Health, Home Visitation, or Early Childhood Services. Applications will be approved based on family participation from the past year.***
