Early Care and Education for Your Child

Sunbeam is enrolling children ages birth to 4 for childcare in our early education centers in Oklahoma City. This free Early Head Start and Head Start program is open to eligible families with child care subsidy. Sunbeam offers:

  • A low teacher-child ratio, where your child can receive more personalized attention from highly trained staff
  • Personalized support for your family
  • Free diapers and wipes
  • Free healthy, tasty meals and snacks
  • Free assessment, immunizations, health screenings, and referrals
  • Support for children with disabilities
  • Clean, safe, and fun learning environment

Early Birds

Early Birds provides you with important information, activities, and educational toys and books to use with your child to stimulate his/her development and learning. This helps prepare your child to be ready for school! 
 

Strengthening Your Family at Home

Sunbeam is enrolling children from birth through 3 for Home Visitation Services. This program provides weekly educational visits in your home with you and your child. Families also participate in monthly group activities to connect with other families. This program includes services like education, health, nutrition, mental health, disabilities, and social services.
 

Accessible Mental Health Care

You deserve to live your best life. Sunbeam provides private, accessible and convenient mental health services for individuals, families, and children. Whether you’re facing mental health concerns, such as anxiety or depression, we believe help should be accessible. There’s not a one-size-fits-all approach to mental health. Our highly skilled and caring staff are trained in evidence-based strategies and collaboratively work with you to develop effective coping strategies for your life. Sunbeam offers extended hours for in-person and telehealth appointments to provide you the care you need when and how you need it. We accept Medicaid, and a variety of private health insurances. 

 

Are you interested in being a foster parent? Sunbeam has been supporting children in foster care and foster families since the 1930s. When you’re a Sunbeam foster parent, you have Sunbeam’s support every step of the way. Our foster care experts walk beside you from the beginning of your application and remain a constant throughout placements made in your home. Foster families have access to trauma-certified therapists, priority placement in our early education centers, 24/7 on-call support, and specialized training. Sunbeam welcomes foster parent applications from individuals and families regardless of marital status, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, religion, or race.

 

Support and Resources for Grandparents

Are you a grandparent raising your grandchild, or grandchildren, in Central Oklahoma? If so, Sunbeam is here to support you through in-person and virtual support groups and individualized care navigation; connecting you to resources and mental health support.
 

Support and Resources for Caregivers

Are you caring for a loved one? If so, Sunbeam is here to support you through educational seminars and support groups. Support groups provide an opportunity for you to socialize and share experiences and resources.

 

Parent Education 

Sunbeam’s Parenting Education services support parents who are working hard to break the cycle of abuse and create a safe, nurturing, loving home for their children.
