Alzheimer's Caregiver Support Seminar

Join Sunbeam Family Services and the Oklahoma Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association for a seminar that will provide caregivers with answers to questions that arise in the early, middle, and late stages of dementia and Alzheimer’s disease. Hear from those directly affected and learn what you need to know, what you need to plan, and what you can do at each point along the way.

When: Thursday, January 27, 2022 from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

What is Powerful Tools for Caregivers?

Powerful Tools for Caregivers is a class series that supports caregivers in taking care of yourself while caring for someone else. By taking care of your own health and well-being, you become a better caregiver.

Powerful Tools for Caregivers is an evidence-based educational series designed to provide family caregivers like you with the tools you need to take care of yourself while also being a supportive caregiver. Interactive lessons, discussions and brainstorming will help you take the tools you choose and put them into action for your life.

You will benefit from this class whether you are helping a parent, spouse, friend or someone who lives at home or in a long-term facility

This program helps you:

  • Balance your life
  • Better communicate your feelings
  • Improve self-confidence
  • Increase your ability to make tough decisions
  • Locate helpful resources
  • Reduce stress
