Building strength, resilience in individuals and families.

Beacons Board

Sunbeam’s Young Professionals Board, the Beacons, was launched out of Leadership Oklahoma’s City Linking Oklahoma City’s Young Adult Leaders (LOYAL) class. As a group, eight LOYAL class members chose Sunbeam Family Services as its LOYAL Action Project, a community project submitted by a local non-profit that gives participants hands-on opportunities to work directly with an organization.

Beacons Board members are advocates of Sunbeam throughout the community, helping to recruit volunteers and donors and to provide valuable feedback to help Sunbeam move forward with its mission. Board members have the opportunity to develop skills that they may not have had the opportunity to develop at their job while utilizing other talents, build a professional network from a diverse array of backgrounds, and learn what it means to provide people of all ages with help, hope and the opportunity to succeed through Sunbeam Family Services.
