Early Childhood Home-Based Services
Sunbeam's Home-Based Services program offers support, guidance, information, and child development services directly to families in their homes. Home-Based Services are provided to expectant women and families with young children, ages birth to three, who care for their children in their homes.
In addition to educational support, Sunbeam's Home Educators provide access to community resources, aiding families in need with food, diapers, clothing, housing, rental and utility assistance. Twice a month, Sunbeam provides families with socialization experiences. These experiences include a presentation and discussion on a specific topic that home educators notice to be an area of improvement among the families. Socializations are individualized to address the developmental level of each participating child and the goals, needs and resources of each family. They are designed to strengthen the relationship with parent and child, and to provide opportunities for parents to share and learn from others about the challenges and joys of parenting.
When a child reaches 2.5 years of age, Sunbeam's Home Educator will transition the child into a program suited to address the families’ needs (Head Start or Pre-K programs) by the time the child turns three years old. This program is designed to provide children with a great start, ensuring that they are healthy and ready to learn.
