Meet Our Counseling Staff
Sunbeam Family Services Counseling staff consists of mental health professionals who provide traditional counseling services based on their professional training, experience, and areas of expertise. Counselors are Licensed, License Eligible, or Master Level Interns who are supervised by Licensed Clinicians. Sunbeam's Counselors are professionally trained in individual, marital, relationship and family therapies. They have the experience and dedication to help individuals and families find solutions that make life more meaningful and satisfying.

Sarah McFadden, LPC - Clinical DirectorSarah McFadden completed her undergraduate coursework in Psychology at the University of Oklahoma in 1999. Sarah received her Master of Arts degree in Counseling at St. Edward’s University in Austin, Texas in 2005. Sarah’s background includes working with children and adolescents in foster care and providing family counseling to adoptive, foster, and biological families. Sarah also worked with individuals reintegrating back into society after incarceration which were on state and federal probation. Sarah has worked with clients with a wide variety of issues such as post traumatic stress disorder, trauma from abuse and neglect, children with behavior issues, and individuals suffering with depression and anxiety.

Lee Acers, LPCLee Acers received her Master of Science degree in Counseling Psychology from University of Central Oklahoma in 2001. Lee is from Thailand and completed her Master of Social Work from Thammasat University. Lee’s background includes working with children, adolescents, couples and families in various settings including refugee camp, foster care, school, and outpatient. Lee also has experience facilitating parenting classes and Prevention and Relationship Enhancement Program (PREP). Lee has worked with clients with a wide variety of issues such as adjustments, children’s misbehaviors, depression, grief and loss, stress related, marital and family dynamics problem.

Bonnie Blauser, LMFTBonnie Blauser completed her undergraduate work at Ohio University. Bonnie received her Master of Science degree at the University of Central Oklahoma. During Bonnie’s time at school she completed her internship and her supervision for licensure at Sunbeam Family Services. Bonnie has experience working with clients of all ages in individual, family, and marital therapy. Previous to her work at Sunbeam, Bonnie worked on the staff and also served as assistant director at Calm Waters Center for Children and Families for 5years, Bonnie is an adjunct professor at the University of Central Oklahoma and teaches classes for graduates and undergraduates including a course in marriage and a two day institute in Grief in Children and Families.

Holly Cockrum, LPCHolly Cockrum completed her undergraduate work at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas. Holly earned her Masters of Education in Community Counseling from the University of Oklahoma in 2006. Holly has experience working with children in the foster care system on issues such as attachment, behavior, social skills, and reunification with parents or termination of parental rights. Holly also worked with severely mentally ill adults in an inpatient setting at St. Anthony Hospital. Holly has experience working with individuals with Bipolar Disorder, Borderline Personality Disorder, Schizophrenia, Schizoaffective Disorder, and severe Anxiety and Depressive Disorders. With clients, Holly has developed skills in assessing, conceptualizing cases, providing psycho education, and brief solution focused therapy as well as learning to better serve families of those with severe mental illness. She has developed a wide range of referral and community resources to aid in serving clients with mental illness. |

Ross Lents, LPC CandidateRoss Lents completed his undergraduate degree at Oklahoma State University in 2003. After several years working in the business sector he left in favor of more passionate pursuits. He earned his Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology from the University of Central Oklahoma in 2010. Ross completed his internship at Sunbeam and is currently under supervision for LPC licensure. Ross has experience in working with individuals, couples, and facilitates an anger management group at our campus.

Sabra Ruminar, LPCSabra Ruminar completed her undergraduate and graduate work at Southeastern State University. Sabra has experience working in both inpatient and outpatient facilities. She also worked for 12 years as an Adoption Coordinator at Catholic Charities, where she counseled birth mothers placing their babies for adopting and worked with prospective adoptive parents. Sabra currently provides school based counseling to the children and some families at Sequoyah Elementary.

Lauren Thompson, LPC CandidateLauren Thompson completed her Bachelors degree in psychology from the University of Oklahoma in 2004 and her Masters of Education in Community Counseling degree from the University of Oklahoma in 2008. During her time in school and internship, Lauren co-facilitated Cleveland County’s Directions in Divorce class, a psycho-educational group for divorcing parents with minor children. Lauren currently works with adolescents experiencing neglect, abuse, depression and anger one day a week at a local middle school. She also co-facilitates Sunbeam’s weekly Women’s Therapy Group, and provides individual, family and couples therapy for children and adults.

Melissa Willis , Intake CoordinatorMelissa Willis has worked at Sunbeam in many different capacities. She has experience both in the accounting department and the counseling program. Melissa currently serves as Counseling Intake Coordinator. Melissa is responsible for taking phone calls from prospective clients and scheduling appointments. Melissa has a passion for helping people and furthering the mission of Sunbeam Family Services. |
Angela Fultz, LPC
Angela Fultz completed her Masters of Arts at Southern Nazarene University in 2006. During her time in school, Angela worked at Sunbeam in the Systems of Care program. Once under licensure, Angela transferred to the counseling department and has remained there while focusing her work in the infant mental health field. Previous to her work at Sunbeam, Angela worked at the Department of Human and Family Services as a Child Welfare worker. Angela has experience in addressing counseling issues of attachment, trauma, child parent psychotherapy and preventive treatment for young children and their families.
Amy Johnson, LPC Candidate
Amy Johnson graduated from Southern Nazarene University with a Bachelors degree in Biology in 1999. Her subsequent work in medical research left her seeking a profession that would allow her to connect with and be of help to others. As a result, Amy graduated with her Master’s degree in Marriage and Family therapy in 2008 from Southern Nazarene University. Amy is a certified Prepare/Enrich facilitator, implementing assessment tools in pre-marital and marital therapies. Her clinical experience includes work with adults of various ages, families, married and engaged couples, and groups.
