ra_150716_050Sunbeam Family Services offers high-quality, affordable counseling services for people of all ages who need help with life’s challenges such as grief or loss, depression and anxiety, managing anger and overcoming negative behaviors, addiction, family and blended family relationships, and children’s issues related to school or home behaviors. Our goal is for clients to learn ways to identify, cope and build strengths to overcome difficulties. Sunbeam’s staff consists of mental health professionals who provide traditional counseling services based on their professional training, experience, and areas of expertise. Counselors are Licensed, License Eligible, or Master Level Interns who are supervised by Licensed Clinicians. Sunbeam’s counselors are professionally trained in individual, marital, relationship and family therapies. They have the experience and dedication to help individuals and families find solutions that provide hope and make life more meaningful and satisfying.

Sunbeam Family Services Fall 2017 Intern Program

Sunbeam Family Services provides opportunities for graduate students in counseling-related programs to intern at Sunbeam during the Fall of 2017 and Spring of 2018. Sunbeam was founded in 1907 and has served the community with programs in the areas of Early Childhood Services, Foster Care, Senior Services, and Counseling. Sunbeam is accredited by the Council on Accreditation (C.O.A.). Sunbeam counseling programs provide support to people of all ages and at all stages in their lives. Interns gain practical experience at Sunbeam through counseling sessions with the clients and mentoring by licensed therapists. Each intern will have a Sunbeam counselor who will provide support, supervision, and instruction to that intern. Interns will also participate in clinical staff meetings held weekly for the purpose of consultation and discussion of client issues, documentation, education, and case management.
